The vtravelled Blog Launches!

Hello everyone and welcome to the brand new vtravelled blog. We’re all very excited about this latest addition to our site, not least because it will give us the opportunity to share our future ideas for vtravelled directly with you – and we very much hope you’ll share your thoughts with us in return.

We (Virgin Atlantic) dreamt up and launched vtravelled last year because we felt that travellers looking for or wanting to share travel inspiration online were poorly served.

Amalfi, ItalyWe wanted to create a place where you could share your knowledge with like-minded travellers and celebrate travel. It doesn’t matter whether it’s a long weekend, an annual two-week break in the sun, or a round-the-world trip – we hope to inspire you with new ideas and take the frustration out of travel planning.

Now, with that all said and done, we’re not going to shy away from what’s plainly self-evident. We are still in our infancy and a fair way from where we want to be. We know we have to make things much better and with your help vtravelled will always evolve. Over the past few months we’ve really appreciated the people who’ve got in touch with or blogged about us and given us their feedback – good and bad – and we want you all to know that we’re listening to every single word.

On the plus side, we’re really pleased to hear that you love the design, the photography and the depth of content on the site, but we know we need to back that up with big improvements to usability and functionality. We’re constantly working on new developments, and we’ll be sharing these with you every step of the way.

In the meantime, we’d love to hear what you think of our new blog. What types of posts would you like to see more of? Would you like to see more regular columnists or guest bloggers? List articles or opinion pieces? All your feedback is greatly appreciated so fire away in the comments below.

The site looks, brilliant, thanks! As a traveller myself, I’m very keen to see what happens with this site. I recently moved to the UK, and plan to get around and see quite a bit of Europe :D

Great idea and great site. I can live vicariously through others’ travels :-) My parents do travel a lot and much of it with Virgin. I will be passing a link onto them.

I’m not much of a traveller as I would like to be, I’m more of a website/blog creater. I came across this site from webdesignerdepot. I must say it’s awesome. It’s very clean yet colorful and easy to navigate. Awesome job!

Hopefully we can inspire you to tear yourself away from your screen at some point and take a little trip somewhere as well :)
