vtravelled shortlisted for NMA Award

We are very excited that vtravelled has been shortlisted for a prestigious 2010 NMA Effectiveness Award.

Over the years the awards have showcased innovative and game-changing websites, so we are dead proud to be on the list. The party looks like it will be a lot of fun too. Wish us luck!

In other news, the next couple of months are gearing up to be an exciting time here at the airline. First of all we’re thrilled that our newest destination – the thriving city of Accra in Ghana – will welcome its inaugural Virgin Atlantic flight from London Heathrow on the 24th May. This will be our fifth route in Africa, and we’ll be offering three flights per week, timed to offer good connections with New York’s Newark airport.

A few weeks after that we’ll be jetting off to Las Vegas to celebrate the 10th anniversary of our inaugural flight back in June 2000. We’ll bring you the lowdown from Sin City itself, with live blogging, tweeting and who knows what else, so stay tuned – and if there’s anywhere in Vegas you think we absolutely shouldn’t miss, then do let us know in the comments below.

Finally – we’re extremely pleased to confirm that our ash-disrupted blogger trip to New York has been rescheduled for the end of June, as long as the volcanic cloud continues to behave itself of course. We’re looking forward to welcoming your winner James on board and of course, hearing what he has to say about it all.
